What is the procedure for getting a Marriage license?
We will make your license appointment with a State License agent. Licenses are dispensed in several locations around the Island, so we will choose the agent closest to where you are staying and at a convenient time for you.
- Both of you need to appear with simple ID: driver's license or passport will do.
- If you have been divorced, they will ask you the month, year, and place of the divorce. You do not need your divorce paperwork, unless it has been under 6 months.
- The cost of the license is $ 65.00 paid to the State in Travelers Check or cash.
- There are no medical tests required and no waiting period.

Do we need witnesses?
One witness is required. If you are having photo or video, the cameraman can be your witness!! We can also supply a witness if necessary.
How do I choose a location since I am so far away?
We are happy to discuss the different sites with you. We can also send you pictures of our beautiful locations once you have read over our options. If you give yourself a few days once you are here, you may be able to check out the sites for yourself.
What if it rains?
We have lovely backup locations for rainy days that provide shelter as well as beauty. We are also flexible about changing time, location and even date in order to provide you with the best wedding.
How about Photography?
Our 24 picture package is perfect when it is just the two of you. This comes with a small album and is featured in our Island Romance package. Pictures may be produced in high quality digital, medium format or 35 mm. Negatives -or- CD can be bought at additional cost, or the photo studio will make up your reprints and enlargements.
36 pictures are suggested if you have a few guests or a champagne toast. This would be an additional $ 125.00 to our Romance package or is already included in our Island Aloha package.
48 pictures are recommended when you have a small group or cake/refreshments. This would be $ 250.00 additional to our Romance package or $125 additional to our Aloha packages.
Larger Custom 8x1O albums with added coverage time are available on request.
DIGITAL MEMORIES (PHOTO OPTION)- All Digital Wedding Coverage ( 1.25 hr.). You receive the complete CD (approximately 50 pictures) with Digital flip Album that opens automatically in your computer. $625. (Customized Print Albums available at additional cost)
If I have a Video camera, why would I need Professional Video?
A professional video is very different from a home video.
The Edited Version begins with awesome footage of the Island. It then leads into your wedding. Since the officiate will be wearing a remote microphone, the entire ceremony will be recorded for your friends and family to fully experience even if they can not be present. After the ceremony, the videographer will add more romantic footage of the two of you. The video is then taken to their professional studio. It is put to a soundtrack of music which you can help choose. Your names and date of the wedding are inscribed on the tape. When you receive the video, it will be a beautiful and finished piece of Art. Featured in our Romance or Memories Package.
Unedited Video. In this version, the Ceremony and Romantic footage are done at the wedding, using remote microphone. The video is "in camera" edited, and handed to you on completion in DVD, mini DV or VHS format. $ 350.00
This can also be an option as a $ 30.00 copy when an edited video is ordered.
Copies. Great gifts for parents and those who couldn't come. $ 30.00 each or 3 for $ 75.00.
Video Picture Collage, up to 30 personal pictures of the two of you that can be added to the video and set to your favorite music for $ 250.00.
DVD, Edited DVD master available at $100 additional.
How do I choose my flowers?
We will be talking with you in detail about the type of flowers that we can offer. You can also send us pictures from magazines or talk with your local florist for ideas.
How do I book my wedding with Island Weddings?
When you are ready to book your wedding, you can call us at 1-800-998-1548 or 808-828-1548 and we will start a file for your wedding. We will take down all of your pertinent information and start to make the necessary arrangements.
We require a $ 200 deposit which can be paid by check or with a credit card.
Whenever you call, we will add to your file so that we will always have your most current information at hand. We will also be available to you by fax or e-mail.
